LOBA PrimaSeal Plus – Alcohol-Based Primer for Wooden Floors
LOBA PrimaSeal Plus is an alcohol-based primer for wooden floors, designed to provide a safe, reliable basecoat before applying LOBA water-based finishes. It offers excellent blocking of wood ingredients and old contamination, helps to intensify the natural colour of the wood and delivers a very good price/performance ratio.
The primer is suitable for virtually all types of European and exotic timber and is specifically formulated to reduce the side-bonding effect of water-based finishes. When used on properly laid and bonded parquet or wooden flooring, no block bonding occurs.

Application Instructions (Parquet and Wooden Flooring)
- Professionally sand the surface. The floor must be dry and free from old coatings, oil, grease, wax, silicone, sanding dust and other impurities.
- Ensure correct climate conditions: room temperature approx. +15°C to +25°C, floor temperature +15°C to +22°C, relative humidity 40–75%, max. wood moisture 12%. Provide sufficient ventilation.
- Transfer the material into a LOBA varnish bucket and stir well before use.
- Apply the primer generously and evenly using a LOBA Roller Universal 100.
- Application rate: approx. 100–120 ml/m² (8–10 m² per litre).
- Do not intermediate-sand the primer.
- Allow to dry. Then apply the selected LOBA water-based finish according to its technical information.
Thinner / Mixing
The product is ready to use and must not be diluted.
Drying Time*
- Do not overcoat before approx. 60 minutes have elapsed.
- In case of delayed drying (low temperature, high humidity, poor ventilation), wait until the surface is completely dry before overcoating.
*All drying times refer to approx. +20°C and 50% relative humidity with sufficient, draught-free ventilation.

- Clean tools immediately after use with suitable solvents (e.g. brush cleaner).
- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying.
- Observe all relevant occupational health and safety regulations.
- Protect solvent-sensitive items (e.g. plants, aquariums) from vapours.
- Keep away from open flames, sparks and sources of ignition during application and drying.
