Subfloor Preparation

The substrate must be sound, level, clean and free from dust, grease, oil, loose material and other contamination that could reduce adhesion. Subfloor moisture must be within the limits required for the complete flooring installation system.

Where additional priming, levelling or moisture control is required, use the appropriate compatible Bona preparation system in accordance with Bona’s current technical instructions.

Application Guidance

Apply Bona Quantum T evenly using the appropriate notched flooring trowel. Lay the flooring into the fresh adhesive and press firmly to ensure sufficient transfer to the underside of the boards.

The high-viscosity formulation provides strong ridge stability and controlled adhesive placement. Work within the approximate 40-minute open time and regularly check adhesive transfer during installation.

For moisture-barrier performance, the adhesive must be applied at the specified higher application rate with complete substrate coverage in accordance with Bona’s current Technical Data Sheet.

Surface treatments should only be applied after the adhesive has fully cured.

• Remove fresh adhesive contamination using the method recommended by Bona. Fully cured adhesive may require mechanical removal.
• Dispose of unused product, contaminated materials and packaging in accordance with local regulations.
